Sci-Fi at Tech Banner Contest:
A contest to create a new sci -fi at tech background image for our website and various advertisements. The images will be put up on the Sci- Fi at tech pages under Contest Submissions – Banner and visitors to the website will be able to vote for their favorites in the comment section.
Design Specs:
- Designs should be scanned and/or created digitally
- Dimensions should be 1200 x 600 pixels or clean scale to that size
The images should be in by April 21, and the voting will go until the end of the semester.
Sci-Fi Lab Title Card Contest:
The sci-fi lab is a science fiction podcast that is run by and affiliated with the lab. The contest it to create a title card for the videos that are being produced. The images will be put up on the Sci- Fi at tech pages under Contest Submissions – Sci-fi lab and visitors to the website will be able to vote for their favorites in the comment section. However, the final decision will be made by the labsters. Multiple submissions are acceptable. The labsters are looking for a general title card, however if submitters created more thematic images (a specific subgenre of speculative fiction such as cyberpunk, or about the works of a specific author) more than one title card may be chosen for use on the podcast.
Design Specs:
- Designs should be scanned and/or created digitally
- Dimensions should be 1280 x 720 pixels or clean scale to that size, submissions less than 640 x 640 pixels will not be accepted
- The images should be reflective of the show, there is a link to the podcast under the podcast tab to give participants a feel for the style
- The Lab is about general science fiction, however specific genre title cards may be accepted for thematic shows (steampunk, space, dystopia, etc.)
The images should be in by the end of spring semester and voting will go until the end of the summer semester.
The winner/s will get their title card on the sci-fi lab episodes, recognition in both the episode descriptions and on the people page.
